i live in Leeds where the Henry Moore Institute is. There is the Henry Moore Room in the Leeds Art Gallery just next door. He is known mostly for his sculptures. But i would class his work as ‘early modern’. Not quite ’surreal’ or ‘abstract’, but not as ‘way-out’ or ‘alternative’ as some later artists or artists of today.

I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Moore and visit him at his home and studio around the time he was 80.
He is known mainly for his sculptures, but also did very fine drawings and prints.
You might enjoy viewing the website of the Henry Moore Foundation which his daughter runs:http://www.henry-moore-fdn.co.uk/
