Not winning the lottery would be on that list as well.

  8. This may take awhile so bear with me:
    1. I walked by a “small woman” crying to break her heart and I did not stop to help or talk to her. It was many years ago and I can still see her face today.
    2. I’m in Fort Lauderdale and years ago, I used to see a young clean cut black man with a cowboy hat, carrying a guitar case. I always thought of him as Tex, naturally enough. I watched him grown unhappier as time went by. the second last time I saw him he was still wearing the hat and carrying the guitar but wearing a T-shirt that said, “F~ck you, I’m from Texas. I was kinda proud of him for that and gave him a thumbs-up sign that day. i didn’t know him and only had a nodding aquaintance. I moved from my job and didn’t see him again until a year or so ago. He was running across the street in a bad neighborhood, still wearing the hat but a mess, no guitar, long matted hair, thin and “jonesin”. I did not stop, I did not say ‘get the hell in my car and let’s get you back to Texas. I can still see him running across that street. I have been back to that street many times and have not seen him since.
    3. I saw a car strike a kitten one day and the guy moved him off to the side of the rode, it was hot that day and i knew he wouldn’t make it for long but i had to get my car to the mechanic and i kept driving. by the time I got back of course the little guy was dead. I still see him lying there. It wasn’t life or death to see my mechanic but it was for the kitten.
So, Father Druff, don’t try to sell me on “Hail Marys”.
