Why Has Analog Film Photography Become So Popular?

In the past few years (especially on places like Flickr, photography sites etc.),film photography has been popular, and possibly actually preferred over digital photography. Before recently,it fizzled out and nobody wanted to even touch film cameras. Now it seems, everybody wants to be using film.
Is it because of a nostalgic feeling in the shots,or is it now just ‘trendy’ to use film because its not as easily obtained? - What is the actual reason for the surge in popularity?

Which Courses Should I Take To Become A Good Webdeveloper?

Hello techies,
I am very much interested in becoming a web developer. I am confused as to which courses to take to make me a good Web developer. I have been making some money on the internet but I am limited as to what i can do due to the fact that i can not make websites. I want to be able to make the websites by myself. Not just some tunkey website but a dynamic website, without paying web designers to do it for me.
Please can you suggest which courses i should take which will make me a full blown complete web developer.
Thanks

Why Was Pollock’s Style Become So Popular? Why Was He Considered The Best Painter?

Personally, his work looks to me like they were all done by a 4 year-old. You said it right. It was his style, his medium, his manner, his unique tools and colour choices that made it popular, not the art itself. At his time, it was just different, he defied convention. And again, had he not died at the apex of his career, he probably would not have been so popular.

Can I Become A Game Developer Or A Game Artist?

I’m 17 and I’m doing Computer Science Engineering (B1) and I’m a PRO in C/C++ but not in JAVA. I’m also an certified student in Maya and 3ds max. And that includes Photoshop, Flash, Fireworks. I’ve learnt CSS, HTML, Javascript, ASP, PHP through web. I don’t have any industrial experience (Of course, I’m just a student). Since I know sort of everything, I’m really confused to choose my future career. I would like to become a game developer but I haven’t learnt MUDBOX. Can you guys help me out? Do I really have what it takes to become a game developer/artist?
Thanks a lot!

Why A Painter Only Become Celeb After He Or She Dies?

Not true. All over the world, there are artists who are famous even while alive. You are probably referring to Van Gogh who never sold a painting in his lifetime.
Also true that the value of the work increases significantly, because this great artist can not anymore create other paintings. In business, that is called Law of Supply and Demand”. Supply is finished, yet the demand to own one deceased artist’s great work continues.

What Do I Have To Do To Become A Painter?

Tough question! I don’t know your age! If it’s an earlier age or stage, start painting [ WOH! What did you mean by "painter" indeed! Is that something Van Gogh or Picasso did? Or painting doors, windows, cars etc? :-) ]
To be a painter like the Masters (Van Gogh), you’ve to innate a certain aesthetically knowledge—-generally said as ‘God-gifted talent! Then by practicing & “day to day” observations makes a man real ‘Artist’. Here is a story for you: Late Mr. Zainul Abedin, The Art Preceptor of Bangladesh, once went outdoor with his few students, to paint or sketch the river, river-side, the waves of river, the fishing-boats, fishermen etc. They hired a mannual wooden boat. It was a 4/5 hours session. Two hours passed yet the Great Master was just silent & was looking around as if for nothing (to others!). Then one student dared to ask the Master, “Sir, when should we start painting or drawing, please?”
“Nonsense!”, replied The Guru, ” Have you yet felt the WAVES & the Dance of the boat? Is your heart dancing like waves yet? You all’re here to feel the RIVER & WAVES! It’s only possible to draw river or waves when you yourself become a river with waves inside!”
Got my point?

How Likely Would It Be For Me To Become Famous With My Talent In Photography?

What type of photography gets people famous? Would I be famous through having my photographs in magazines or if people bought my work? Does my photography have to reflect a meaning, or can it just be a good shot from perfect timing (pose), perfect lighting, composition, etc.?

How Do I Learn To Become A Good Drawer And Painter? ?

This is a really long question. There are lots and lots of different things that can improve your drawing. What always frustrated me as I was trying to learn is I didn’t know where to start. When people say “Practice” it makes me want to scream. If you don’t know what to practice it feels like going in circles! It’s like teaching someone how to drive a car by giving them a heap of parts.
anyways rant over… here’s some advice lol
1. Get a sketch book and some pens (various types to see what you like) Go somewhere, (anywhere, park, mall, subway, soccer field) Sketch from LIFE!!! This is the best exercise you can do by far. Do quick sketches of what people are doing, Don’t worry about details or outlines, heck, use a crayon. Draw lots of gestures, are they sitting, standing, leaning. What leg are they resting their weight on, what way are their shoulders tilted, are they tall and thin, are they short and fat.
you want to work quickly, while trying to incorporate as many things you know as you can. This will help with showing movement, proportions, mood, and general drawing.
Don’t worry if everything looks terrible at first, gotta start somewhere right!.
2. Practice Proportions
just spending time practicing proportions is a good way to put them in your mind and eventually your sub-conscious.
Find as much info as you can about proportions, there are 2 main systems, the head-system (a person is 8 heads high) and the 5 eye box system {(the one I prefer), the head is 5 eyes wide, from the top of the head to the pit of the neck is 2, 5 eye boxes) Find these and practice drawing from them. Memorize important land marks, the half way point of the body , how long are the arms, legs etc… There’s lots of stuff out there to look up.
3. Learn perspective, 1,2,3 point, curvilinear and atmospheric. Start with 1 and work your way up. Perspective is essential to drawing anything. It helps create depth and realism in any image. Start out by drawing cubes cylinders and various other simple forms, and then start breaking more complex objects down, a bike is just a series of cylinders. A hand is a box with cylinders for fingers.
4. Anatomy. this one’s kind of advanced but is essential. Practice drawing skeletons, this will help with your posing, and proportions. Then move onto drawing the muscles. If you know your bones and muscles you can draw a person doing absolutely anything.
I always recommend life drawing to people because it’s very challenging and you will learn so much. A wise woman once said to me there is no problem in drawing you will face, that you wont face in life drawing.
Painting adds more complexity - you’ll also want to look into tone- shadows / lights and color- which is a whole great big challenge on it’s own.
Good luck! - www.conceptart.org -> my favorite website, head to the forums, very useful!

If Adolph Hitler Was Such A Good Painter Then Why Did He Become A Dictatoror Instead?!?!?

he wasn’t. the work was tedious, mudane and mechanical. Some biographers suggest his rejection as an artist triggered his later more infamous career.
