We are painting our bedroom & are doing all the trim as well as the ceiling in white. We’d like to make this a quick project, so how long do we have to wait to put painters tape (we bought the delicate surface one) over the trim so we can paint the wall color?

How Much Research Did You Do Before Buying Your Computer?
As a computer technician, web developer, and instructor I have talked to many people who have a somewhat limited understanding of the computer the use on a daily basis. I can’t help but wonder how many people made the decision to buy their computer based solely on a TV commercial (i.e. Dell, HP, etc.). I also began to wonder, how many people have purchased a Windows-based PC as opposed to a Mac, just because they “have heard” that Macs weren’t good computers. Essentially, with the exception of those with the knowledge of building their own systems, how much research did you do before buying your computer? No need to answer if you did not have any control over what system was purchased. Did you buy your computer because it was cheap, was it recommened by someone, how much research did you do before buying your current computer, are you satisfied with your computer, would you ever consider buying a Mac - why or why not?

How Do You Prototype Before You Actually Program?
hi, I work as a web developer and my client wants a certain web application…so he requests something and I implement and show it to him but then he discovers some of the things he requested missing from the project so I end up repeating everything again from the beginnig in order to fullfil his request..so I figured I should prototype my project and show it to him before actual implementation…but i don’t know how to do that exactly …I think it’s easier if I designed on paper or something and show it to him or maybe use some kind of program to do that so that he wouldn’t get bored of the whole the whole project coz u know clients like to see some output coming out..it gives them pleasure…so can anyone tell me a prototype method to use with my client.
Should I Really Try For Another Degree Before Going Into The Work Force?
This is somewhat of a mixed question and it is most likely based on personal opinion, anyway….
I’m about to get my 2 year Associate degree in Computer Programming, I’ll have it next semester. Here is the thing, if I take 5 more classes after that I will receive some type of certificate thing for a “Web Developer”, then if I take 2 god awful easy classes after that, I will receive another degree for web development and administration.
I want to attend a 4 year as well, but until I can get Financial Aid or a good job, I will be unable to afford it.
So what do you think I should do, stay an extra 1-2 semesters for another degree or search for jobs? Which will help more, the job certificate + the web developer development and admin degree or actual experience in the work force?
My idea job is a programmer; I realize that’s a generic job type buy I don’t really know what all my options are yet. Basically I’m asking what would help me MORE in the REAL WORLD?

How Much Do You Need To Know Before Getting Work As Web Developer ?
I’ve just finished a book on basic web programming and would like to know if you need to remember all of the elements, attributes and properties or can just reference them when you need them. I have a vague idea of what needs to be used to do most things and where to find out how to do it if I don’t know.
I suppose I just want to know if you learn most in practice when building a site or if its best you know most before starting.
The reason I’m asking is because this is the career I want to pursue and I’m not too sure of when I should start applying for work in this field. I’m still yet to learn Javascript , PHP, and MYSQL.
Can I apply for junior level jobs once I’ve finished or wait until I have a few completed sites under my belt?

If I Am Setting Up A New Website, Is It Better To Submit Articles And Boost Seo Before It Is Live?
The site will be live by the end of January 09, but I want to work on building the SEO, PR etc now. So if I simply put the homepage up for the new site and not anything else, will this be enough to work on it by submitting articles, etc for SEO? How Long Do I Have To Wait For Paint To Dry Before I Can Put Painter’s Tape On It?
I am trying to get a painting job done before my dad comes to visit (ASAP). I want to paint the wall, the chair rail molding and base boards. Therefore, after I paint the wall, I ‘ll need to put painter’s tape on it in order to paint the molding and base boards.
