Web 2.0 Websites? What Tutorial Could I Learn How To Develop User Friendly Or Created Content? Tags, Profiles.?
What would i need to do to learn how to apply more user created content on my website? I would like comments, tags for photos, user profiles they can customize, and other active content that could upload from a database. Ubuntu Linux Web Developers, What Platform And Apps Would I Need To Develop Multiple Web Sites And Databases?
I’m a newer-than-noob Linux user switching in from Microsoftland. Back there, I needed IIS on a Windows Server in order to run multiple dev and beta web sites simultaneously, and used SQL Server for the databases.
I’m looking at switching what I do to Ubuntu now, and see they offer a desktop and server version. Would I need the server to run web services on multiple dev site projects, or can those be hosted (locally) on the desktop version?
Also, what’s the standard database app for Linux/Unix hosted web sites? Again, would that be runnable on desktop, or does it need the server?
I’m looking for free applications, or as cheap as possible. Thanks, and looking forward to being here.

How Can I Determine The Amount Of Time It Will Take To Develop A Web Page?
I am a beginner web site developer and I have a client now that wants to me to do a clothing website where the user can buy clothes online.
Is there a way I can estimate the time it will take to develop this website.
Once I have that information I can then multiply the estimation with how much I will work an hour.
