I don’t attend an Art college because they cost so much money, however at the school I am at I minor in art/photography. I want to be a photographer - magazine type stuff. Do you think I will be given a chance for work without a degree from an art school? I minor in photography, so it’s not as good as students in BFA programs.

Why Are Does Yahoo Flag My Messages As Spam?
Hello one and all,
I am a newbie web developer and am using a program called MailEnable for my clients email. I have a couple of different clients now and I’m starting to have a problem when sending to @yahoo email addresses in that my clients’ messages are being sent to the spam folder. For testing i’ve tried sending to my own personal email address (a non-yahoo account) as well as a gmail account but i’m only having the problem with yahoo.
any thoughts or suggestions on what might be happening here?

I Have A Boyfriend Who Was Diagnosed With High Functioning Autism. How Does This Effect Pregnancy & Children?
he was diagnosed with high functioning autism at 12 but appears as normal, if not, a much higher IQ than myself, the other diploma students studying web design or even his entire workplace which he is a full time web developer and so far very successful and in demand. but we are both concerned about having children as i am unsure about what to expect, if children will be born normal, if baby boys are able to pick up autistic genes more commonly than girls or what? info on anything to help us out would make planning much better. we have not been to a doctor as yet. i prefer natural therapy and wonder if a naturopath is a better way to address the situation. regards, D.

i used visual web developer 2005 express edition build a web application. now i change my tools to visual studio.net 2003, but it seems like doesn’t support master page.

I’m a web developer with 3 to 4 years of experience designing and web coding websites. I am a self taught, standards compliant web developer, and I utilize php, mysql, xhtml, css, javascript, xml, and flash to build beautiful websites. I have been looking for a job and I have not been able to find an available job for me at the age of 15. I am in really need for a job for financial reasons at home. My mom is a single parent raising me and I would like to help her with the bills. Does A Creative Programming Job Exist?
Im currently a professional .net developer but im very artistic and creative which i find many developers arnt. I love doing GUIs and graphics in photoshop too, I dont want to get into web design too much though, Id love to work on application GUIs and stuff, but does there exist such jobs which are well paid? or is it typical that coding and the artists are always separate jobs, any job titles or companies(or company types) you know of that have this sort of job.

A cartoonist? For a news paper Cartoonist / Animator in the United States is $56,000. on average. Beleive me, i did my homework.
Which is good, but if you get into disney, making murals and such, you’ll make alot more.
It all depends on what kind of cartoonism you want to get into. Tv, newpaper, political, humor… the list goes on.

Does Specializing In A Particular Platform Cut Down On Too Many Opportunities?
I am a Microsoft.NET developer and have been thinking that seeing as more and more features, functionality, best practices, patterns, tools, methodologies, resources, etc, are introduced to Windows, Web, Mobile, Embedded and MS-SQL platforms all the time… would wanting to specialize in one or two of these area’s really cut down my opportunities to find work (within companies or freelancing)?
If Web and Mobile (with MS-SQL) development is my main/only area of focus, and endeavour to learn all I can in these platforms, and not really touch on the other platforms… would I be shooting myself in the foot or open more doors for me? Web and Mobile seem to be the growth platforms at the moment… and may be for a very long time!
I guess the question is, is it wise to become a jack of all trade and master of none (when it comes to programming)? Is it better to try and learn all facets?

I’m a sophmore in high school and I live in the Pacific NW (washington). I’m really into photography and plan on either majoring or minoring in photography. There was a scholorship/contest for photography that was based in the NW advertised in the paper a couple years ago, but I was too young to enter, and now I can’t find it. Does anyone know of either a local or an area-based scholarship contest for high schoolers?

Does This Photography Printing Technique Sound Familiar To Anyone?
i went to a creative arts festival today and i saw a style of photography ive never seen before (im not an expert on photography or humanities). the artist imposed the picture on a sheet of glass so that you had to see through the glass to see the image. the front of the sheet was cut with grooves that refracted the light and made the image appear to shimmer and flicker in a beautiful way.
does this sound familiar to anyone and if so, can you give me more information on this technique? for the sake of a humanities paper. thanks!
