We run a Web Design/Development business together, and we have 1 client from when we started in March 2008. I am the senior designer, and I do all the Designing. My father is the main contact and helps me get through all the legal business that I am currently familiarizing myself with. I work in Dreamweaver, and am currently advancing with my PHP knowledge. I just recently figured out how to code profiles and logins/member databases. I have sites that have working registration and login, and am on the verge of creating fully functional profiles. I am also very familiar with custom-placement Div objects.I have many other skills as well. I would even be comfortable creating a site without being paid to do it until itwas ready and done.
My family and I have tried advertising, but it is as though no one is looking for a Web Developer. Then again I know this cannot be true, as I have looked at places such as Monster, and there are a myriad of listings. The problem is that the requirements are insane and that of a college graduate.
I’m trying to figure out why there are no listings looking for an Experienced PHP/Div-oriented web designer that has completed HS and Some College. It is as though there are no web developer jobs available for students IN college….it’s depressing. I am doing this business with my family so I can get money for my Education, is that so bad? Not to mention, we are very low-priced compared to the big-wigs that charge thousands of dollars nad give templates, whereas our designs come made originally. I know there must be someone out there who would be MORE than happy with what we cna do for them…What are we doing wrong that we only have one client in the past 8 months? We never did anything wrong according to him or our reviewers.

Painter Of A Lion And His Family And Not Sure Of The Artists Name It Looks Like P. Pelongpric?
There were no hits for anything spelled Pelongpic, so on a hunch I changed it to Delongpic.
Bingo. (Maybe.)
Paul de Longpre,[French-born American Painter, 1855-1911.]http://www.artcyclopedia.com/artists/lon…
And:
Quote:
Paul DeLongpre was the most significant watercolor specialist to arrive in Los Angeles in the late 19th century
Unquote.
Bio and photo of him here:http://www.redferngallery.com/BuyDeLongp…
More Bio info, including this tidbit:
“A street in Hollywood is named for the man called “Le Roi des Fleurs”. De longpre died there on June 29, 1911.”
Quote from the following page at the californiapaintings.com site:http://tinyurl.com/ytuhgh
Now, the reason I said “Maybe” is because this Paul de Longpre seems to have painted mostly still lifes and flowers. (Rather well, too, in a dreamlandish kind of way….)
Not lion families.
For a quick and dirty test, you can click on one of the photos of his portraits at the Redfern link, or one of the other sites with photos, blow it up to 150% and compare signatures.
So if your painting isn’t a print, and the signatures seem to match, it just might be unique. Worth taking a high quality digital image of it and sending it to some museums and galleries and maybe even the big auction houses (Southeby’s, Christies, etc.) for a pro evaluation.
How much is it worth, then? Hard to say. The site(s) listing the auction prices require registration and fees. If this is an unique work by a significant painter, previous prices are no guideline, and the value will depend on the fickle mood of the Art market-might be lots, might not be. But you can assume a high end potential value for insurance purposes…
If the signature does seem to match, you can google for more De Longpre info.

Is Portland, Maine, Or Portsmouth, Nh, A Better Place To Raise A Family?
We’re moving from Boulder, CO, to the NE, and want to be near the coast. My husband is a web developer, and there are job opportunities in either city. I’m an artist, and our daughter is 3. We want a fairly safe community, with a UU church, if possible, and some community. Nice (good food, not necessarily fancy) restaurants and good groceries are important.Natural beauty is also a big plus.
