I’m a web developer with 3 to 4 years of experience designing and web coding websites. I am a self taught, standards compliant web developer, and I utilize php, mysql, xhtml, css, javascript, xml, and flash to build beautiful websites. I have been looking for a job and I have not been able to find an available job for me at the age of 15. I am in really need for a job for financial reasons at home. My mom is a single parent raising me and I would like to help her with the bills. If there isn’t a graphic designing job for 15 year olds that you know of then please just list some jobs other than graphic designing.

I want to know if there is any need in the world for people who can draw or paint. I mean, with photography and Photoshop nowadays, is there really any need for graphic designers/artists?

Both BFAs offer courses in the other, but focus primarily on one or the other. If I completed a BFA in Graphic Design, could I go back, already have taken the core requirements, and take only the major requirments for Photography to earn that degree? How do double majors work? Any Graphic Designers/ Web Developers Out Their Willing To Tell Me About Their Life?
I am a really bright student who excels in many subjects, most notably business and graphic design.I am not sure if I should peruse business as a career or graphic design/web development. I have a real passion for web development. In fact, I have made my own site which is doing quite well, http://wtclan.com, most of the graphics are made by me. I can say that I could enjoy a life where I would be making graphics my whole life or maybe managing/developing a website. I can’t however say that I would enjoy a life working in a cubical or in an office in a big building. That is why I need to clear up a few things about graphic design.

Is Graphic Design A Good Major To Be In, If I Want To Be A Web Design/developer?
If you want to be a web/design developer you really need to take the classes for design and development. Graphic Design will help with your creativity, but it will not give you the knowledge you need to be a good web developer. You need programming skills and knowledge of those types of things which graphic arts will not provide. I guess it depends on what you want to emphasize more. The design or the development.

Is Majoring In Graphic Design A Good Choice For Someone Who Wants To Become A Web Designer?
I want to be able to design a website and then write the code to put it to use. Should I major in Graphic Design or something similar to computer science (btw, im not that good at math). I want to be a web designer/developer. Is there a difference between the two? Im not sure if when I major in Graphic Design that I will be taught how to code (HTML, CSS, mySQL, etc.) as well.
