I am trying to learn dot net programming. But again, in order to learn it..you have to pick programming language ..either VB.NET or C#..need to learn asp.net..or visual web developer..SQL Server..I tried to start with Visual web developer..where you drag and drop buttons and then do the coding behind..Just lost as to where to start or need a suggestion..as I am also new to C# programming..the backbone of learning..Dot Net.Please advice.

I Can’t Keep Myself Up To Date With All What’s New In Programming?
ok, I’ve been working as a web developer for 3 years and this year I became a Team Leader for the development department in the company I work in. I specialize in C# and asp.net and windows applications but every single day there are new things coming up and I keep reading blogs and articles on new innovative technologies. The problem is that I don’t usually have time to learn about all these things and I can’t afford to take courses in them. They are so expensive.
I feel like I’m an ignorant and whenever I read people’s articles on the web about things they’ve created and achived, I feel left out. I’m good at work and I’ve created excellent web applications and my managers really love my work but I know there are so many professional programmers out there who really did great things and learned new things.
So I’m just asking you all software developers and programmers, how do you enhance your careers and become up to date with all these new technologies? what do you do exactly?
Best Programming Language For Beginners?
What is the best programming language to learn if you are a beginner (myself)? I know a lot about html, actionscript, and some other things, but I really want to learn programming.
I have downloaded Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 (Visual Basic, Visual C#, Visual C++, and Visual Web Developer), but I don’t know where to start!
On MSDN, Microsoft’s Beginner Developer Learning Center, they have tutorials for absolute beginners, but they go in such an order as this:
Tut1: Introduction to Visual Basics Express
Tut2: Introduction to C# Express
Tut3: Introduction to C++ Express
Tut4: Introduction to Web Developer Express
Tut5: Visual Basics as a programming language
Tut6: C# as a programming language
and so on…
They have it set up as if you are supposed to learn them all at once! I am sure you aren’t supposed to do that, and so I am confused with which one to start with.
I would like to know which programming language works best, is best for beginners, and has good potential. Also, I read that I shouldn’t learn Visual Basics…is that true and if so, why?

I am a realtor who uses Dragon NaturallySpeaking in order to conduct business since I’m disabled. The MLS system that I use was recently updated and it uses ActiveX and JavaScript. I am completely unable to use this with my voice recognition software. Help! What can be done this is my livelihood.

Probably not. Most accessibility software (disabled-assistance) require web sites to adhere to accessibility standards. Those standards specify that a web site can be “spiced up”, that is prettier or enhanced with things like JavaScript, but should still work properly without them.
Requiring ActiveX and JavaScript to use the website automatically means the site does NOT adhere to those standards. I strongly encourage you to complain to the system owners. Any web developer worth his/her salt would be ashamed to launch such a web site
Does A Creative Programming Job Exist?
Im currently a professional .net developer but im very artistic and creative which i find many developers arnt. I love doing GUIs and graphics in photoshop too, I dont want to get into web design too much though, Id love to work on application GUIs and stuff, but does there exist such jobs which are well paid? or is it typical that coding and the artists are always separate jobs, any job titles or companies(or company types) you know of that have this sort of job.

How To Avoid Accidentally Repeated User’s Submit Through Programming?
Say, in Yahoo answers, when I click the “submit” button, the next page doesn’t come out immediately. I may suspect my click has failed. So I click the “submit” once again, which in some cases my question is posted to Yahoo Answers twice. As a web site developer, how to avoid this?
P.S.:I’m a JAVA programmer.

Which Is The Most Difficult Programming Career?
1. Web Programming ( J2EE,Oracle…….. )
2. System Programming ( Device Drivers, Assembly-level stuff…..)
3. Game Programming ( Graphics,3DMath,DirectX,……… )
I don’t know much, but i think web programming is the easiest compared to others, while game programming is the most difficult…….what do u say?
PS: Even though game programming is more difficult than web programming, a web developer’s salary is almost 3-5times than the salary of a game programmer…..

Questions About Computer/web Programming?
I really want to learn how to code and program in many languages, but I am not familiar with most aspects of the coding languages (except for html, actionscript, and php) and the types of software used to create apps.
I read that visual basics is outdated, and that it’s not recommended to use it, but why does Microsoft have what looks to be a very nice computer/web programming page where you can download Visual Basics Express?
What is the best programming language to begin with? I know html and actionscript and a little php, but I want to learn computer programming.
Could you tell me what each of these programs from Microsoft do?
1) Microsoft Visual C# 2008 Express
2) Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Express
3) Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Express
4) Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008 Express
Do you recommend these programs? I really want to begin with computer programming without taking classes and what not, but I need good programs and an effective source to learn from.

What Is The Very Basic Programming Language(s) To Know To Be A Web Developer?
The most fundamental language you must know is html
It’s the basic code you need. You can create a good-looking webpage only by using html.
While html shows you how to ‘create’ something for your page, CSS(Cascading Style Sheet) tells the computer how to ’show’ your page in a fancy, professional looking page.
The other language that is frequently used bay web developer is javascript. It displays text boxes, buttons, tells computer how to response distinct command, stc.
If you have already known html, you can practice more by using notepad or another plain text editor, so you’ll get used to be a professional web developer. But if you feel you don’t know that much, you can use Dreamweaver or Microsoft Frontpage to do so.

If You Got A Job As A Web Developer, Computer Network Specialist, Or Programming Analyst?
or a web developer, would there be a brinks armored truck type way of transporting the money or is there another way the funds are made or dispersed?
