My husband and I have been fighting today because there is this woman who he has to work closely with…I’ve only seen pics of her and I can already tell that she would be his “type” because she looks a little like me. Yes, I am jealous, but only because she spends more time with him than I do. However he told me that he will try to only email her as much as possible and meet with her as little as possible. But when he brought his work laptop home I started looking on it (don’t tell me I’m nosy, he SHOULD have nothing to hide) and I saw that he had more meetings with her than he had told me. Like, meetings in her office and meetings in his office, alone. Also, he did admit that he has called her when he had a problem that only she could help with and she also came over to his office for that. (he is a web developer, btw) Oh, and she sent him a smiley face (if that matters), and I am wondering if this means it is more than just business..?
I know that he is not sleeping with her. He is more likely to be having an emotional affair with her than a physical one. My question is: would you suspect your husband of cheating emotionally if you found out about the meetings etc? Also, how can you find out how much time they are spending together/talking etc without going to other people in the office (short of calling her and threatening to b*tch slap her if she touches my man, lol)? He will not admit anything to me, but he has a record of lying to me. He is too smart to leave inappropriate emails for me to find, plus I don’t really think that would be happening at this point anyway. What would you think if it were your husband? What can I do to find out? What can I do to prevent anything more from developing? Do you have any stories of something similar happening to you? Thank you so much!
